Roadmaster 4-Diode Universal Wiring Kit Installation - 2019 Ford Flex- Video
Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today we're taking a look and installing the Roadmaster diode wiring on a 2019 Ford Flex. Now there's five main components required for flat towing a vehicle, and the first one's gonna be on the vehicle side and that's gonna be your base plate. And that's gonna create a solid attachment point to the frame of the vehicle that allows you to hook up to your tow bar. And the tow bar is gonna be the connection between the base plate on the towed vehicle and the hitch on the RV. You also have your safety cables. So just in case of an accidental disconnect you still have an attachment point from your base plate to the hitch on the RV. more

Roadmaster Tow Bar Wiring Kit Installation - 2010 Ford Flex- Video
Today on our 2010 Ford Flex we'll be installing the Roadmaster Universal High-Powered Diode Wiring Kit, part number RM-154. To begin with, we're going to need to kind of go ahead and plan out how we want to route our wires back to the vehicle. We'll start by raising the hood. This particular vehicle has a base plate assembly on it, so we'll route our forward pole to the center of that. We'll leave about 6 to 8 inches of wire that can be zip tied behind the grill when not in use. When routing our wire, we're going to go ahead and go up around the battery and come back down up near the firewall to go underneath the vehicle, as there's not really a good way to route our wire to stay away from moving parts or areas that are very hot. more
